So these days it's just me and Avery all day long. It's kinda lonely. This last Monday Nate was home from work and I realized just how lonely I really am. I told him that I wished he were home every day. That sounds really pathetic, I know!! I do have a lot of fun with Avery though. She is pretty funny. She always has to have her baby doll, a purse, my high heels, and a cell phone everywhere she goes. She is talking really good now. And, she is completely potty trained. It's wonderful.

I wonder what it will be like when she is in school full time too. I would like to think that I would like it but I wonder if it will just be really boring and lonely?! I'm pretty sure I could find things to keep me busy. Like blogging!!

So my group of friends went to the midnight showing of the movie and of course we loved it. It was so much fun. We waited for 5 hours. I think waiting in line with all the other twilight junkies was just as much fun as watching the movie.
Good movie. Not as good as the book of course but it was fun.

Potty Training!!

We have been potty training. Ahhhhhhh!! It's crazy. Not my favorite pasttime. But it sure is worth it when they are finally out of diapers. I thought these pictures were fun. We were trying to teach Avery the art of toilet reading!!

Back to School

Back to School!!! The girls (Kia and Mikelle) have started school and unexpectedly they were accepted to the George Washington Academy. It's a charter school. I had applied to it last year but they weren't able to get in. Well, this year they called me the night before school started to tell me they had some openings and were wondering if we were interested. I was excited but a little worried because I only had one day to get everything ready. I had to take back the school clothes I had already purchased and buy uniforms (which I love, love, love. So cheap, so easy!!) I also had two huge lists of supplies I had to purchase. I have never shopped so fast before. So far I love this school. The girls come home so happy and tell me about the things they have been doing. Kia tells me all about her friends. She says she has so many friends there. She is especially excited that one of her best friends Rylee, that she has known since she was a baby goes to that school. I use to babysit Rylee for about two years and they have been good friends ever since. Mikelle has done very well with the change of half day kindergarten to full day first grade. No complaints. She was just full of smiles on her first day. She likes her teacher a lot. It's just me and Avery now and it's fun!! I really want to post a picture of the girls in their uniforms but I don't have one yet. I will take one soon and post it. They are so cute in them!
